    Default MySql issues?

    Hi,

We recently upgraded via new install and upgrade database to the most current version of zen-cart.

Everything seemed to be fine until we had a big sale in our store. The mysql totally hogged up the cpu usage and caused us to kill and restart mysql several times in a 48 hour period and we even had to reboot the server twice.

The weird thing is that we can't seem to nail down why. I don't think we ever had over 150 people on at one time and sometimes it ran fine and then other times I had to restart.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Here are my specs.
PHP Version: 5.2.5 (Zend: 2.2.0) PHP Memory Limit: 256M
PHP File Uploads: On Max Size: 2M
    Database Data Size: 491,414 kB
    Database: MySQL 4.1.22-standard
    HTTP Server: Apache/2.2.8 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.5
    PHP Safe Mode: Off
    Database Index Size: 92,881 kB

    Thanks

    Rick

I am especially having trouble when trying to mail a gift certificate. I can't even get to the page to do so and my the mysql cpu usage steadily climbs through the roof.

Number of categories, products, attributes per product?
ZC currently has some problem with products having to many attribute, or deep nested categories.

39 categories, with only a few going one level down and 1 other category going 2 levels down.

We have over 4000 products with very few of them having attributes
