Poll manager problem

Is anyone running this contrib in PHP5? I've just migrated my site which had poll manager running happily in PHP4 but it gives me a parse error on line 2 (a comment line) on the new site. I've uninstalled it for the moment as I need to get the site up and running, but the message was something like 'parse error unexpected T_STRING on line 2' and came up on both admin and the public side.
I will sort it out eventually, but if anyone has been there and fixed it, I would appreciate the info on what the problem is.

wondering if you ever figured out a solution? I just discovered the same problem with the poll manager & php5 (unexpected T_string & parse errors), came here hoping to find a fix but haven't been able to find much discussion of this mod at all.......

Nope. Nobody replied so I just had to ditch the mod. Pity, it was quite a fun feature
