Hi,

I recently found out a potential problem with the use of hoverbox3. See this thread for more information. I have turned off hoverbox3 for now. Please let me know if the problem is related to hoverbox3 and how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Found a problem with HoverBox3. In Firefox, it works very well. In IE7, it looks funny. See attached pictures.

There are 2 display differences between Firefox and IE7. When someone clicks on larger image, the window that pops up is not centered and the background does not cover the whole page.

Is this a stupid IE7 "feature"? God... I hate IE7, it's always so problematic. How do I fix this? Thanks.

No they're not compatible.

One runs on the MooTools library, the other, HoverBox is based on the Prototype framework.

Personally, I'd think you'd like HoverBox better - and to use you'll need to remove all files added for slimbox.

Can you please kindly comment on the difference between this and Zen Lightbox mod. We are currently using the lightbox mod on our site, you can check out our site in my signature. We are however contemplating switching to this and wondering what are the +/- of the two mods.

Lightbox is based on an old library of Prototype.
HoverBox is currently based on the most recent version of Prototype, taking advantage of advanced features available, better logic.

HoverBox provides complete customization options via the Administration area of the cart. You've got the option to decide what you want in the display, background colors, etc...

Ability to provide smart image resizing using browser dependent capabilities to keep the "entire" image within view. Lightbox doesn't do this.

Next release will include additional features, and upcoming Advanced release will plugin to entire Zen structure allowing for use of HoverBox outside just images. You'll be able to use for any content.

I am familiar with IH2 and Lightbox. They don't do what I want.
1. I want to have a large image shown when I hover over the image on the Product Info page. It's only for display purposes like an additional image.
2. The large image will be different than the product image. Could have the same/related file name.
3. I want to be able to 'select' which images have a hover image. e.g. only those which have _MED or _LRG images in the proper folders. I don't want it to work on ALL images like IH2.
4. I don't need a fade to dark background like Lightbox. Just have the image 'float' over the product page.

Will Hover 3 do what I need???

Many users have had this same problem. I just upgraded following all the instructions. My site is having the same issue. Is there a fix for this?
