Virtual Merchant - error processing your credit card

Hi...

I've been trying to set up the Virtual Merchant payment module for my client.
I downloaded the contributed module from http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=815

After configuring the settings, when I try to buy a test product I get the following error message:

There has been an error processing your credit card!
Please check your credit card details!
The credit card number starting with 4111 was not entered correctly, or we do not accept that kind of card. Please try again or use another credit card.

Neither Testing nor Production mode will work.

I have tried entering : 4111111111111111 and 5000300020003003
with any expiry date, 1234 as CVV number. I have also tried a real credit card

I am not sure where to start debugging.

Does the error message imply that the cart can't talk to the Nova Server (perhaps wrong merchant number and/or user id and/or user pin)?

As stated in the readme file of the module, I configured and locked down the log directory : /includes/modules/payment/logs but I see nothing.

Is it possible to test this module in 'Maintenance Mode' ?


I just want to know if I am doing something wrong before calling the Nova people.

No, anything requiring 2 way communication will not function in maintenance mode.

The module worked just fine... I just did not define the credit card(s) that I wanted to accept.. silly me.

I have updated the installation instructions with this as a step in the process.
