Default Saved Cart Bug with altered attributes?

As you know if a customer have items in the cart and if they click out or logs off, the items will be saved/remembered until the next time he/she logs in.

However, if during that time you change the attribute option value for any reason, the next time the customer logs in, the cart will not charge them for those items instead it will show $0.00. How can this be fixed?

    Thanks

Could you give a more detailed example of what you mean?

Perhaps an URL to one of your Products with Attributes and more details on what exactly you are changing that does not change/update when the customer logs back in?

    For example:

I have item named fruit bar with the option named "size" with the option value of "5 oz", "2 oz", and "box of 5 oz". Of course depending on the size, the item amount will be different. So this fruit bar item was set incorrectly at "2 oz" when it should be "5 oz". So I then went and changed the option value from "2 oz" to "5 oz" and I even tested it right after by putting this item in the cart and the total and everything is correct. So when I saw an order come in with that item being "~-" (which didn't indicate the option value) I realized something was wrong so I went into the order details to find that the items with "~-" under the item name was not charged to the customer.

After researching, I found that it is not happening to everyone so my immediate assumption is that only people who had put that item in the cart and didn't checkout from their last visit are getting this problem.

I could be wrong but that is what I have found so far....

    Thanks for your reply.

When you changed that was it just the name that you changed or did you delete the Option Value for 2oz and make/use a new Option Value for the 5oz?

I did not delete anything. The list of options were already set from the beginning as 2 oz, 5 oz so I just simple swtiched between it from 2 oz to 5 oz...
