Sideboxes larger than header

I changed my sideboxes to be larger to accomodate product pictures on my site. Now the header and footer are too short. You can see here what I mean.

How do I fix this? I have the sidebox width set to 200px for the left and right boxes in my admin.

Your free shipping graphic is wider than the remaining space between the sideboxes, so it is pushing them apart.
Also, there may not be room for three products per row in the featured centerbox.
If you want your sideboxes 200px wide, maybe you should increase the overall width beyond 825px to leave more room in the center (main content) column. It won't all display on an 800x600 monitor anyway.

Ok, I see now.
I have been wanting to reduce the green background area and making the white content area wider. Where do I go to change that and what do you suggest it be set at?

Your stylesheet handles this and most of the rest of your site's appearance.

/includes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css.

#mainWrapper {} is the container for everything inside the green background, so set its width to whatever you want. You can use pixels (like 950px) or percent (like 95%), and some other measurement types.
