I have edited the header.php file and placed it in my custom template file but it won't show up with the changes. I'm using the pretty in pink tempate. What am missing?

When you say 'custom template file' do you mean includes/english/custom ?
yes I edited header.php file and put in in includes/languages/english/pretty in pink. Yet, the default header for the template continues to show up. Do I need to edit something else as well?
Don't mean to keep asking questions, but is that the actual name of your override folder - 'pretty in pink' with spaces?
Can you post a link to your site?

Ok so I think I have it working. Seems to be something with Dreamweaver. When I open th file with notepad++ from my server through filezilla the changes I made were not there. So I did it again and reuploaded with filezilla and it's showing now. YAY!!
Now how do I center my logo?
A short note, I learned the hard way on this with Dreamweaver (after a good scolding over at phpbb) - in some cases Dreamweaver is not good for editing your php files. Always check this if there's a problem, I lost a forum because of this "weirdness" once, thank goodness for good techs at my webhost!
