Default Question about FedEx, Authorize.net and Paypal modules

    Hi,

This is really an update question about these modules. I understand that in the 1.3.8 version that those particular modules were updated? Is this correct? Currently, I'm running a highly customized store with version 1.3.7. which eventually I will be updating, but right now cannot be fit into my schedule. It is going to be a very big job.

However, if there are significant improvements within both the Fedex and Paypal modules that debug some of the glitches from their previous versions, would it be possible to just use the updated versions of those modules in 1.3.8, without necessarily having to update the entire cart? Would it be worth it?

For example, in the Fedex module, there is no choice of listing the types of shipping that you would send the customer. In our case, we only do one type, but the module lists several types, including a ridiculously priced next-day air. I'm not sure why the rates are so drastically high, or if that can be adjusted. If this is improved in the newer version, I would like to run it instead..or if there is a fix around the rates showing up, I would like to know how to adjust those.

    Please advise.
Thanks as always for your time.

Sorry, you cannot use the PayPal modules for v1.3.8 on a 1.3.7 store.
You need to do a full upgrade for that.

FedEx is an addon module. Perhaps someone who uses it may be able to answer your questions about it.

Thanks for your advise and direction. For now, I think I'm going to stick with the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it...."
