Is that the norm with zencart? When I look at my version info in zencart admin, it shows that under the "Local" column.

Ok, I think I found the answer to my own question by seeing that includes/functions/sessions.php does in fact have a custom session handler in order to support the option of storing sessions in the database or as files.
