First 1.0 Release of Reward Points module [Support Thread]

Yes I would like an admin mod so that I can have more control over the customers points, can add extra for posting on our forum or uploading to our gallery (we are a scrapbooking business) and for competitions etc I thought it was already in place with this mod but maybe I misread?

Does anyone know if this module will work with Google Checkout? I know you can't redeem points via Google Checkout. I'm wondering if the customer checks out via Google Checkout if it will award them their points properly. I have both Google Checkout and a regular credit card processor on my site and would need it to award the points no matter which they used. I can specify that they must checkout via the local zen cart (credit card processor) to redeem their points.

Ken, it should work as the point system is separate from the method of payment.

why? I check all my files over and over again... without find what I miss here...

I think I do something very very wrong... first... I install using the file install.sql
there, I saw my error... and use the file: new.sql
I have a lot of errors... in all the mod pages...
I try to uninstall... and don't allow me...
is there a way to fix my db manually? and install it again with the correct file?

What version are you using- v1.21 is available in the other thread. Also did you try the Reward Point Diagnostic?

I have a question... is there a way, to limit to only one category where customers can redeem their points?

Or at least, don't allow 1 or 2 categories?

Hello,

Being a new Zenner I am setting up a store and would like to use the Rewards mod.

I don't quite understand the install notes.

The notes say the following:

1. Unzip the zip file into your Zen Cart root folder (Will this cause an issue with the current "admin" folder in the root?)

1.1 IMPORTANT!!! If you have installed v1.12a or lower then delete includes/auto_loaders/config.reward_points.php (Don't need)

2. Copy all the files in folders named 'custom' to your corresponding custom folders. (I have not created any folders named "custom" or any other name)
Sorry for the "beginner" questions, just really getting to know Zen Cart.

First you should create a DEMO shopping cart where you can test each new mod and change prior to installing it into your live cart.

Second you should definately create a custom template where your edited files go so you do not over write the main files.

My question is. How do I change the BOLD text in the box to regular text?

This is a cool mod just installed it and it seems to be working ok. After you install the SQL Script make sure you clear your cache file before viewing the features.

what exactly does this mean? If I am using the classic template do i rename to classic?
