A strange use for zen cart - can u help me?

I only want to set up a shopping cart system for a client who wants the filled cart to generate an email request, NOT actually a purchase.

In other words, the clients customers will add items to their cart, then when they are done, it is submitted as a simple email so that the business owner may quote them on prices, rather than have them listed.

Can anyone help with this?

Using the money order payment module avoids having the customer pay through an online payment service. With all other payment modules disabled, this module will be selected by default. By changing the wording displayed in association with this module, the customer will not see any request for payment.

Disabling all shipping modules except the Store Pickup shipping module avoids interfacing with UPS, FEDEX, etc. for shipping rates. With all other shipping module disabled, store pickup will be selected by default. Removing the words "Store Pickup" avoids confusion for the customer. You can substitute other descriptive words if you like, or leave it blank.

Another approach "might"be to set up the products as "Document - Product" in the pulldown menu at the bottom of page where you add new products. I have no experience with that feature but believe it might be a better way to handle this situation.

Of course you need to set up your email configuration so you get these requests at your email address.
