Turn off product links...I KNOW THIS MUST BE EASY! But everything I've tried failed!

If you look at www.heavensentminiatures.com then click on BEANBAG CHAIRS on the left, you will see links associated with pictures of all my categores toward the bottom middle of the page.

I have looked for about 2 hours through the forum. I want to get rid of these links and pics. I want to keep the links that are in the left side box.

Please can someone tell me how to turn these links and pics off? I've tried: configuration>layout settings>categories-tab menus on/off...didn't work

configuration>layout settings>categories-always show on main page...it's already set to 0

Not sure if this is it, but those appear to be sub-categories. Try Admin - Configuration - Product Listing and go to the bottom where it says 'Show Subcategories on Main Page while Navigating' - try setting to 0
