NEW and Trying to Customize Home Page of Store

I think I have figured out quite a bit, I even purchased the book... I am trying to figure out where I change the information on the home page, in the middle of the page where it says HAVE YOU GOT YOURS YET, and shows a large picture... Can anybody help me find where I change this ?

Also I can't find where I put my logo at the top of the page ?

Read the fine print at the bottom of that section of the page. It tells you what file it is stored in, and where to change it.

Admin > Tools > Developers Toolkit > define_main_page.php.

Look in the FAQs for information about the logo.

admin > tools > defines pages editor > select from from down - main_page.php > edit away...

and "Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution"

Learning to use the Devoloper's Tool Kit is one of the best things I have done. When you get to the tool kit, scroll down till you see

Look-up in all files
Key or Name:

Type, or copy/paste the word, phrase, or sentence you are looking for here. Next, in the

All Files Look-ups:

drop down, choose

All Files: Catalog/Admin

Now, when you click the search button to the right, Zen will search it's files for what you are looking for.

Let's pretend we are looking for the following: Limit 1 coupon per order and want to make it a 2 per order.

After your search, you would see something that looks like this:

/home/mistkits/public_html/includes/languages/english/discount_coupon.php

Line #49 : define('TEXT_COUPON_GV_RESTRICTION','<p class="smallText">Discount Coupons may not be applied towards the purchase of ' . TEXT_GV_NAMES . '. Limit 1 coupon per order.</p>');

So you would go to that particular file and change the words you need, in this case, change the 1 to a 2. NOTE, I added the red font for clarity.
