Using a Dropdown List to Sort the Product List

I am setting up a site for a compnay that sells dog products, and the client would like to have something set up where the customer can not only choose a category of product, like "dog bowls", but also so that there can be a drowndown list that is a "Browse by Breed" which, when they choose a breed would populate a product list with everything that has that breed name in the title.

Is there a mod in existence that can accomplish this?

A good example of this is http://www.planet-gizmo.com/ where on the left a person can shop by breed.

I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction here.

Unless you're already using it, I'd use the manufacturers as my breed and go from there..
