having a login box in the side bar

I wanted to know if there is a code or if anyone can tell me the way to put in a login box on either the right or left side bar it doesnt matter which one. But the login box has the space for the username and the space for the password just like the one in oscommerce. is it possible to potentually even copy the oscommerce script for it and it put it in on the zen cart script?
