How to hide quantity in the product listing?

Check in admin under Catalog-> Product Types.

Choose Edit Layout for whatever product types you have. There you will find still another place to set "Show Quantity in Stock" to 0.

I think this was done to drive us mad.

Your screenshots from the original post #1 are not showing now, so folks are starting to suggest what you have already done. When you take a screenshot off your server, it disappears here too.

Have you resolved the issue? If not, you might want to describe all the settings you have made related to this (instead of the screenshots), that way the thread will be more complete for folks to help you now, and for those in the future who encounter a similar problem.

This didn't actually work for me either, i had to manually set them to 0 in tpl_product_info_display.php

I tried the above procedure and it worked.

Regarding driving us mad, I am still optimistic that some day I will achieve the zen state of understanding that will allow me to know the logic of why controls are spread across disparate admin console tabs.

2 those who couldn't set up this setting via
admin -> config -> product listing -> display product quantity

I were looking for a long time digging in the code of Zen Cart to find this:
Catalog -> Product types -> Edit layout -> Show Quantity in Stock

Hope I've helped somebody.
