    Default Store Wide Sale Issue

    We occasionally run a manufacturer's store-wide sale, meaning that every product for a specific manufacturer is on sale.

    The issue we are experiencing is that once the sale ends some products (random as far as we can tell) still show as on sale for days after the sale is over unless we delete the sale entirely. The products show on sale in the store, but then go to full price during checkout which causes our customers to understandably be upset.

    If we delete the sale from admin then the random products DO NOT show as on sale in the listings.

    What might be causing this?

    It's possible this is simply a browser issue if the customer (or you for that matter) have your browser settings set to cache webpages. Not much you can do about the customer's browser except explain it when they complain. For your own machine you will want to turn caching off.

    I doubt that it is a cache issue. We are aware of the issues that caching can cause and are pretty good at deleting cached files and restarting our browser when investigating problems.

    Not only that but as I said once I delete the sale I no longer have the problem.

    Are you using the Zen Cart Price Manager to manage your sales
    (i.e. do you set "Special Price", "Available Date:", "Expiry Date:" and "Specials Status:")?

    or are you using a downloaded contribution to manage sales?

    Yes we use those but those are related to specials, not to the salemaker which is what we use to put a whole category on sale.

    We do not use a contribution to manage any sales.

    On a second note I see you are in the Springs, so are we. We live out in Colorado Center off Marksheffel and Bradley.
