Default Zencart to pass Tax, Shipping and Insurance details to Authorize.net_AIM

    Hi All,

I am setting up a 1.3.7 zencart shop with Authorize.net_AIM. I've done some testing in "Live" mode with Authorize.net gateway.

All seems to be working with the exception of seeing any detailed break-down of the tax, shipping and insurance within the Authorize.net transaction.

Authorize.net does know the products and quantity of each product ordered, Zencart transaction number, order total, etc. But shows Tax as $0
in 2nd level order detail. And no indication of shipping or insurance charges.

Is this something that can be "set-up" within Zencart admin, or ???

Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don't mean to bump my post. But I just thought of a second question, that may make the question in my first post a moot point.

The question is: Does anyone know if attribute values also pass through to Authorize.net, or is it only the product name and quantity?

Since I used a "test product" (no attribute values) for $0.07 (just enough to generate a tax amount), and saw in the Authorize.net report that the product name and quantity was logged... I was hoping Authorize.net could have everything needed to further pass data through their Quickbooks download file. Then use Quickbooks for accounting as well as inventory management.

But now after thinking more about this... I have the impression Authorize.net to Quickbook is not going to be the solution.

Therefore, if attribute values do not pass... It does not matter if tax, shipping and insurance pass.

So...maybe I should be looking at something like the QBI Import contribution, and going from Zencart to Quickbooks.

Am I just rambling here? ...Or can someone give me a sanity check?

    Thanks

The v1.3.8 version of the AIM module passes a significantly larger amount of data to authorize.net for processing.
You might try a quick test in a fresh folder+database on your server to see if it produces the desired results.
(may as well use the latest code anyway, if it's giving you the desired result)

    Hi Dr. Byte,

I looked at the includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php file from the 1.3.8.a release and it appears that Tax and Shipping should pass to Authorize.net with this code.

I thought I remembered reading in another post this file could be used with 1.3.7. Is this true?

If it is true, is it a matter of uninstalling Authorizenet_AIM, updating this one file and then reinstalling?

Also, on line # 345 of this file is where it appears to me to "pick up" the shipping cost from zencart. Could code be added to this line to "add in" to the shipping total an amount from a contribution for insurance, I think the variable is ot_insurance.

If so, is this a simple change....would you be able to provide what the code should look like?

Lastly, it does not appear that any product variable passes to Authorize.net in this version. I have the impression, it is something that could be customized. But, would require having a "key" attribute value/variable assigned -- which would relate to "stock by attributes".

Am I on the right track regarding the attribute value?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.
