Default Attributes to work like this

How would I get the attributes to work like this site?

    http://www.teaxpress.com/index.php?m...products_id=15

They have each item's weight and the amount of each weight, and not the +$3.00 or whatever is added to the base price. I have the attributes set to add a certain percentage per option, but then it just puts the optional weights as +$3.00, $5.00, etc.

    Those are Option Values called:
    4 oz
    8 oz
    1 lb

    Similar to using:
    Red
    Yellow
    Green

    they are just text ...

Then the real weight by pounds is added to the Attribute for:
    0.25
    0.5
    1.0

which is then setup to NOT display on the Product _info page ...

Then the Price is added without the prefix for:
    14.99
    28.99
    56.00

And the Product itself is marked as:
    Priced by Attribute: YES

so that the lowest price in the Attributes is the Display Price throughout the Catalog ...

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately I am missing something. I get the following (The "*" is the radio button):

    Please Choose:

    2 ounces * 2 oz - $4.00

    4 ounces * 4 oz - $7.00 ( +$3.00 )

    8 ounces * 8 oz - $12.00 ( +$5.60 )

    16 ounces * 16 oz - $18.00 ( +$12.00 )

So it gives the attribute weight and the (+$3.00, etc.). It also has the radio buttons and each attribute has the radio button selected (even though the option type is "dropdown." So when I click the "Add to Cart" it adds ALL the weights as one product and all the amounts together as one price.

Thanks for this post ... it's helped a lot in getting me closer to where I need to be. But I am having one problem. I followed the above instructions and when an item is placed in the cart it is adding the base price that I put in the "Products Price (Net):" box. I went back and removed the price from that box and that fixes the cart problem but then the base price disappears from all the listings in the catalog (basically showing no prices until you get into the listing. Any help would be greatly appreciated ... I am a ZenNewbie here. Thanks!

When the Attributes make up the price and the products_price is 0.00 then this is Priced by Attribute ...

Be careful that your products are really priced by Attribute before marking them as such ...

Is there are reason why it would have radio buttons when drop down is chosen and why the radio buttons would all be highlighted and all options added together on adding the item to the cart?

Option Names that are Dropdowns with 1 Option Value are automatically converted to Radiobuttons that are pre-selected to prevent the customer from having to click through a list of Option Values where there isn't a true choice ...

Add a 2nd or more Option Values and this will automatically revert back to the dropdown ...

There are 4 options values and it has 4 radio buttons and all are selected, with no way of deselecting them.

If all 4 are selected then you must have 4 Option Names with 1 Option Value each ...

You want 1 Option Name and setup 4 Option Values for it ... now you can choose which one to select as the default ... and the customer can pick what they want and unselect automatically when they pick another Option Value ...

You might consider loading a test directory with a clean install of Zen Cart and utilize a 2nd test database and load the demo data ...

This would give you a functional shop with all the demo data and help to teach you how things are setup as well as give you ideas of what functions, features etc. are available to you ...
