Multiple Images Questions

I've read every tutorial and post I can find on the subject and think that I'm following the directions to the letter.

From what I describe, can you see a problem with my setup.

Also, I plan on having many products (as you can see from the categories) and would like to organize them at least a little. Hence the simple sub-directories.

Taking your advice, I set up a new product here. This time I did not use sub-directories. The file structure looks like this:

images/lexington-bedroom.jpg
images/lexington-bedroom_02.jpg
images/medium/lexington-bedroom_MED.jpg
images/large/lexington-bedroom_LRG.jpg
images/large/lexington-bedroom_02_LRG.jpg

Additionally, I've checked my admin to ensure that the suffixes I'm adding (_MED and _LRG) are correct. I'm getting the same result as the first product though.

on your test product try this naming for shagrins:

images/lexingtonbedroom.jpg
images/lexingtonbedroom_1.jpg
images/medium/lexingtonbedroom_MED.jpg
images/large/lexingtonbedroom_LRG.jpg
images/large/lexingtonbedroom_LRG_1.jpg

I tried as you recommended... Removing the hyphens and placing the suffix before the image number, and beginning the numbering with the numeral 1. No change...

Just for kicks I also tried removing the numeral altogether:
images/lexingtonbedroom.jpg
images/lexingtonbedrooma.jpg
images/large/lexingtonbedroom.jpg
images/large/lexingtonbedrooma.jpg

Weird right? I know the system is working to some degree, because when you select "View Image" through your browser and check the path, it shows
images/medium/lexingtonbedroom_MED.jpg

Files are curently named:
lexingtonbedroom.jpg
large/lexingtonbedroom1_LRG.jpg

How did you eventually get this to work? I'm having the exact same problem and see that you have accomplished it!

Not neccessary... This problem has been driving me batty, but now it's
SOLVED!

I should have thought of the fact that this was initially a Template Monster Template. I opened up the page templates/tpl_product_info_display.php and was able to find the line of code for additional images.

The folks at Template Monster had commented that line of code to ensure that their layout would look good... not necessarily work well!

Now all I have to do is figure out how to move the thumbnail image closer to the main image display...
