removing images on main page

Hi there, i hope you can help me , i've looked on the forum but no one seems to have the same problem as me.
I have uploaded a template with one large picture and two smaller ones that are actually buttons , these two were on top of the larger picture.
I changed the large picture by renaming my logo to the name of the picture and i delted the two small pictures and thought that was that.
The problem is i was using firefox to browse and when i use explorer i can see two small white boxes with red crosses where the two small button/images were.

Obviously i have just deleted the images and the button spaces are still there.
Does anyone know where i go to delete the links to these button spaces?
It's really annoying me,lol.

Have these references (eg: <img src="includes/templates/template_default/images/h_pict1.gif") been hard-coded into the php anywhere?

Not by me anyway, i don't even know what that means,lol.
By the way i don't think those pics will be in the default template images directory s they are from the newly installed template.

hmmm... who did your template for you? Perhaps they know what was done.

I bought it from template monster last night, installed it today and made a new logo to fit it.

Those buttons were already there once i installed it, i jujst removed the pictures, i suppose i could insert 2 small pics but i would much rather remove the code for these altogether.

Sorry to sound so depressed, but their templates cause endless frustration! There are LOTS of posts on this forum about them...
