Curl and SSL issues and GoDaddy

I installed SSL yesterday afternoon. In the Godaddy Control panel when I go the host it says:

" Current Hosting Account Status: Pending Account Change "

However when I go to manage SSL certificates, it says my SSL certificate is currently active.

I also decided to do a fresh install of zencart and I get these errors at the beginning.

- CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 7 => more info..
- CURL problems detected: 56 => Received error code 403 from proxy

Do I have to fully wait til Godaddy is finished updating my host account for SSL to work?

I'm confused and help will be greatly appreciated.

Please search the forums for 'godaddy curl' for several threads addressing these problems. The short answer seems to be: run, don't walk, away from Godaddy as a Zencart host.
