    Default Admin restrictions?

Hi all, I am currently trying to decide between Storesprite and Zen Cart for a new shop for one of my clients. I haven't used either of the packages before. At the moment Zen is winning me over because of it's huge range of facilities and the size of this forum

I have a question though that maybe someone could answer? Is there any way of setting up a "restricted" admin user in Zen. In Storesprite I can set up an admin user and only give them access to certain menus.

What I, essentially, want to do is to create an user for my client so that they can log in and process orders etc but not change anything else in the store - They have only just mastered Word so I don't really want them playing about in the admin screen. I just want them to be able to process orders.

    Many thanks in advance.

Yes I believe this is possible - Admin Profiles.

Many thanks for that - I will check out the thread now! Yet another point for Zen :)

The only advantage is that storesprite seems easier to customise (look and feel) - but then again I haven't really had a proper look at customising Zen yet!

Thanks for the reply Steven! Zen cart wins another point because of the useful module contributions from the user community (the mailing list import module was a complete necessity as my client already has a 6000+ subscribed mailing list)!

THe only thing that Storesprite seems to win on is the ease of customisation of look and feel but then again i haven't really tried to customise Zen yet!
