Can't login or add products to cart?

Cart was working on the 7th as an order was received. Not sure about yesterday the 8th but we have been troubleshooting with the guys from JROX as our affiliate program is not working properly.

They suggested I add one line of code to the index.php file and when I did, I tried to test by adding a product and I can browse the cart no troubles but when I add a product to the cart, nothing. It goes to a blank page:

When I got to the Admin and look to see who's online, I can see myself and I have items in my cart. However as a customer, if I click on checkout or My Cart, it shows that my cart is empty.

I removed the one line of code

and it's still not working.

Using the Simple_Zen template - switched to classic and still having the same troubles.

I upgraded my customer mid-February to 1.3.8 and other than the JROX not working, it's been working well.
