help question Is it okay to directly edit small data tables??

For example, fill in the categories information table directly using say sqlyog or phpmyadmin or mysqladmin??

I only have 10 or so categories and cut/paste would save me some time.

    Thank you, Tom

It can be done, but some information is stored across tables - for example the category number to identify what products belong to that category. I suppose it depends on what you're trying to do.
