help with installation

I'm a totaly newbie to xampp and zen-cart. I've installed xampp and thunderbird according to GKH's book and am now on p 46, performing installation of zen-cart. I've unpacked it into my xampp directory into the htdocs folder, and now according to the book if I go to my browser for my site I should reach the welcome screen for zen cart's installer. I am still just getting the same xampp screen I was getting before I installed zen cart. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? TIA! :smile:

What is the URL you use to access the store?

Is it http://www.example.com/store or is it http://www.example.com?
