Suggestions for Shipping

Hi

I need some advice please. I have set up a table rate for shipping based on the weight which works great as 99% of my items will be sent using a signed for delivery service.

However, I have just added some low values items that are heavy. With the current setup the shipping works out very expensive and several times the value of the product.

I really want to just send these low value heavy items by standard second class post. I'm struggling to come up with an idea for this though ???

Does anything identify these Products that makes them unique from your other Products?

Do you have a fixed charge that you want applied to these heavy Products?

What happens on multiple quantities of these heavy Products?

Not an ideal solution, but you could set their prices to include shipping and then make them "free shipping" products.
