How to show attributes price as a separate item

Hi,

In my order totals on the shopping cart page, the price shown is a sum of product price and attributes prices. Is there a way to show the product and attributes prices separately and the total at the bottom of the page?

Another thing, is it possible to show only the selected attributes and not the whole list of attributes on the shopping cart page?

Will really appreciate your help.

Two ideas that might work:

1. Under Admin - Catalog - Attribute Controller select the product and then the attributes (one at a time) that add to the price. For "Include in Base Price" select NO. See if that separates the prices.

2. Edit the product and for the question Product Priced by Attributes check NO. I don't know whether that will separate the prices or just eliminate the attributes price, so check it quickly and change it back to YES if it messes up the total.

I haven't wanted to do this but these are my two guesses. They're worth exactly as much as you paid for them.

Thanks a lot for you thoughts on this. I tried your suggestions previously, however, it always groups the price together and adds taxes. We are asking people for deposits which must be tax free (I didn't mention this, sorry) I finally found my answer when installing the Environmental Handling Fee mod with the Auction mod. It worked great...but took awhile to get it all working with previously installed mods.

For once I can actually add some value here because I have been struggling to figure out a solution to this all morning. Here goes:

You can get a product entry in the shopping cart to show a line item for the product and another line item for the value of the attributes, by setting the pricing of the attributes to "one time" instead of "+ price".

This may not work for you if the attribute is a modifier to base price (i.e. it adds £5 for a large version). I use it to sell the accessories for a product and you may find you can manipulate the method to your benefit.

For an example of it in action, go to this product on my site, select the options at the bottom of the page and see what shows when you add it to the cart.

edwinlloyd's comment was good but still not ideal, it would be perfect if the line price was in the same column as the total instead of along with the item.

I have sort of solved the problem, but it gives me a different problem that may be easier to fix.

In the Attributes "Value" add the price as text...example: "Large (+$5.00)" . This is then displayed in the shopping cart.

The new problem is that on the Product Page where you are choosing the attribute the display looks as follows: "Large (+$5.00)(+$5.00)(+6lbs)". I would now like to be able to switch off the display of (+$5.00)(+6lbs) that is generated by Zen Cart from the information that you entered in the Attributes "Prices and Weights".

The fact that the Attributes "Prices and Weights" do not show up in the Shopping Cart as a selection is I believe something that should be part of the Zen Cart system....The "Prices and Weights" are on the Product page, and on the Invoice; why not on the Shopping Cart, or the Confirmation E-Mail that goes to the customer?

Mamasylvia was very close to the solution...

1. In the Attribute Controller for the product, set the price for each Attribute and click YES for Include in Base Price When Priced by Attribute

2. In the Product, click YES for Product Priced by Attributes

3. In the Product, do not put a price in; pricing should be in the Attributes of the product
