Send Welcome Email in HTML format

How can I get ZenCart to send the account creation welcome email to be HTML format?

I want to customize the welcome text to say.

Welcome to <a href="http://www.example.com/store">our store</a>.

But the link is not coming through in the email.

Actually, I just customize TemplateMonster templates. After reading the posts about them, I did change my signature.

I worked out the HTML emails by "Configuration -> Email Options -> Set MIME type for email" to true. And made it so that new customers are default to the HTML version of emails.
