Different Shipping Rates for each item

Can any one tell me how i could possibly do this? I've been searching and have yet to see anything. I will be using drop shipping from, as of now, 3 different companies, and each one has a shipping price for each item.

Any suggestions on this?

sorry i just thought of something that would work as well.

Would anyone know how to set it up to not initially charge for shipping at the time of the order, but instead fulful the order, i would recieve a copy of the order, giving me time to contact the manufacturs to come up with a single shipping rate for that order. Then have the customer confirm this?

Sure. Just select the "free shipping" module. Then, for each product, set an attribute of "shipping" with a dropdown menu, create an option value of "cost" and set the price to +5 or whatever the shipping is on that item. Make sure you click "yes" to "Default Attribute" and "no" to "Attribute is Free" under Attributes Controller. There is probably a better way to do it, but this will work until someone more knowledgable chimes in.
