Template adjustment

I just got back from my client and was asked to change the "Important Links" to be more prominent.
Is there anyway I can change the text color for just that area, or the background of just that area, or do anything that will make that area stand out?

You can add these declarations to your stylesheet.css and style them as you wish.

Any idea on how I can get the multiple columns working on either or both of my sites? robertensing.com or karatjewellers.ca

On robertensing.com I have the option to select the number of rows/columns but they just don't display on karatjewellers.ca I have the option to switch between colums/rows but no option to change the number for each. :-(

If you're talking about the center column boxes (new products, specials, upcoming products) the options for how many show up are found in:

admin -> configuration -> maximum values

One one site the option is there but it's not working. I can set it for whatever number of columns I want but it still only shows 1 column.

Do you have specific page(s) you can point out and what it is you want to accomplish.

On the products page you're supposed to be able to select either columns or rows. That I can do on either site.

Then you're supposed to be able to select the number of rows or the number of columns. On robertensing.com I can select the number but it's not displaying that no matter what number I put.

On karatjewellers.ca I don't even get the choice to put in a number.
robertensing.com is 1.3.7 upgraded to 1.3.8 while karatjewellers.ca is a fresh 1.3.8 install where I've tried to add the column module which didn't work either.

Hope you or someone can help as I appear not to be the only one that has this issue.

iam trying to delete the light blue sidewalls on the webpage so i can make the page look bigger, if you can help me i would be greatfull.
