Recommendations via PM?

I've read a couple of new thread posts asking for new host recommendations. One was closed after the initial message, the second was closed after a message saying recommendations should be made via PM.

1. Is there a reason the forum doesn't want us to discuss various providers? We all want to find hosts that ZenCart works well on, as well as offering reasonable price and great support. We could all benefit from even different experiences with the same provider.

2. What about those of us who don't know how to initiate private messages?

When we have allowed recommendations it turned into an advertising war. Our forum rules disallow advertising.

Our recommended hosts, and the ones that support Zen Cart financially are listed on the hosting page.

You can always search the forum for your host to see if there are problems associated with them though.

Top right - just below the newsletter sign up - click Private Messages.
