PayPal IPN - Shipping Address required

For the PayPal IPN - how do I set Shipping Address required. When I create the IPN code in PayPal web site payment prferences, there is no option to set this requirement, as there IS when creating a PayPal Buy Now button. With PayPal if no shipping address come thru with payment , it is NOT covered under protection policy.

Your normal checkout in Zen Cart will have the Customer, Shipping and Billing addresses added to the Order for you ...

With PayPal IPN you should not need to do anything special on this as the information is asked for during the checkout ...

yesterday I had a PayPal order come through without address. Paypal told me the option "address required" must be setup in paypal merchant services for PayPal buttons. I need to know how to force this field with the IPN and PayPal PDT, the code generated for Zen PayPal module PDT field

I tried a re-install , but I just did a test to myself and the shipping addresses are not coming through with a PayPal order via the Zen Cart IPN.

i am also having the same issue.

When i upgraded to 1.3.8 all of my paypal payments come through without any addresses.
i called paypal and was told that i had selected NO on the shipping address required field.
I dont see that field anywhere in the paypal ipn module or anything to change. So ever since i upgraded i have not recieved any addresses in paypal.

granted i still have their shipping addresses on the site, but i can no longer use paypal to print shipping labels automatically, and paypal only will guarantee/back up the funds if you ship to their confirmed addresses. if i have to manually type in every address from off my site, they dont guarantee anything, and even if i track the package, the buyer can stil file and win a claim.

so im looking forward to an answer as well as to how to change that back so that the shipping address is required.

Absolutely my Point.

If a PayPal payment is generated WITHOUT an address, you really MUST CANCEL that PayPal payment, particularly for high dollar orders. Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for high risk of charge back.
I am beginning to think that the PayPal module is not working correcty with the newer versions of Zen. I am running 1.3.7 and did NOT have this problem with the older version.
If anyone at 1.3.7 or above IS or is not having this same issue, please let us know.

I do know if you create a PayPal button for your site the option to "require shipping address" IS an option. But, generating the PDT code from Profile section does NOT have this option. It DOES have an option to require a phone number however. Which does work (but irrelevant for payment protection).

No, unfortunately no applicable responses (yet). I am wondering if PayPal Pro resolves this problem?

I am running Zen 1.3.7 and still having the problem of the order not generating back to my Admin. Therefore, I get the payment OK, but I have no idea what the customer ordered.
Has anyone figured out the solution to this problem? There were many zenners having this issue and I still cannot get this to work properly.
Any help is greatly appreciated. At this time I am thinking about just disabling the Paypal feature.

I have had to cancel orders with PayPal because they are coming thru without address and hence, NO Protection from PayPal. If a dispute you automatically LOSE, no recourse. So, probably best to disable PayPal.
