Default where do I read my incoming mail?

is there an "inbox" in the admin section where I read incoming mail sent by a customer visiting my cart? if not, where do I read it other than the web? Can it be set up to receive in Widows Mail and if yes, how? thank you in advance, any help will be appreciated!

AFAIK, Zen Cart doesn't function as a mail reader. If someone Emails you through your Zen store, Zen sends the email to whatever email addresses you put in Admin - Configuration - E-Mail Options.

You will need to set up either Outlook, Outlook Express, etc. according to your server specifications for either POP or IMAP. I use IMAP with Outlook 2007. I am sure the replacement for Outlook Express, Windows Mail, will work just fine.

Well, it depends on what Email he uses. I use Gmail and I find it easier (and safer) to read and reply online.

Any email service will work. I like to use an address that points to my site ([email protected]). GMail is a great service, and I use it, but when I see a GMail (or Yahoo, or Hotmail, or (shudder) AOL) address as a business reply address, it seems less professional. Could just be me.

I actually have several domain-name Emails that are forwarded to my Gmail account. I've also set Gmail to use those as the "from" address when replying to emails sent to them, so it looks to the customer like the reply is from "[email protected]" or whatever. Nice feature!

That is a handy feature - I'll have to check it out.

BTW, your 'Contact Us' email link shows the GMail address.
