Removing New Products from Specials Box?

Hello,
I display 3 things on my Main Page:
- Featured Products
- New products for Month
- Specials for Month

I always run an introductory sale for all my new products, so they always end up in two boxes (New + Specials).

Since I do not have a lot of new monthly products, I would like to avoid my New products appearing in my Specials, even if they have a special price applied...

Is that something possible ?

Hi, regarding your query i've an idea to deliver to you...

login in admin mode and go
admin>>Configuration>>Index Listing

there you can see the lists

update 'Show New Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories' = 0

then see in Special box it will be removed...
