New "forgotten" password not working? Help!

I have a online store that I'm working on...slowly but surely coming along. I have a template installed and everything looks amazing. It's not live so I can direct you guys to any kind of link.

I'm trying to test the in's and out's of the program to see if everyting is working. I made a fake customer and registered everything into the online store. I pretended like i forgot my password so I had zen cart email me a new password. Once i got the new password and tried to log in....it says "There was a security error when trying to log in." It wouldnt let me log into my account with my old or new password that ZenCart emailed me.

Has anyone else came across this issue? Any help would be great.

I tried another test customer and manually changed my password through the online store myself. As soon as I was done and tried to log back in with the newly changed password...it gives me that same error. What could be the problem?
