Expandable Image (really confused)

On my site here http://killerlube.com/store/ I'm trying to put an image above the featured product box with some text underneath.

How do I do this so the image is always the same width as the layout? I want it so it still looks ok on 800x600.

What kind of image do you want to put there? Just a background that can be repeated across the box header?

A promotional image to make it a better landing page. Kind of a advertisement to liven up the page! With some marketing copy as well.

Right now when someone goes to that page you really don't instantly know what I sell. I bought the zen help book which a great help but didn't answer this for me.
