    Default Tick box attribute

    Hi,

Is it possible to have an attribute that uses a checkbox rather than a radio button? The attribute has only 1 option that the customer can choose from and its literally a yes/no option of adding it. When i do it i gate a radio button but i can unselect it.

    any ideas?

    Cheers

    Paul

I think that with zencart, if you have just one option, it will default to a radio button - even if you set it as a check-box, or dropdown.

One option means either they want the attribute (ON) or they don't (OFF), and radio buttons are the default input for this.

You are right with that Schoolboy. No matter what you set the style to, if you only have 1 option then its a radio button. But the radio button is always selected, there is no on/off option which in affect forces the customer to have this option.

You may have to change your check-box option type to a drop-down option type, then add an option name called, for example, "Not Required". Then set this to the default option.

The shopper will then have to manually select the attribute, if they want it.

    Hi,

re radio button for just one attribute - it would be nice if it was just echoed out onto the page - as with a radio button - intuitively you want to click it - because radio buttons usually have that option.

Also - when placed vertically in alignment with a radio button the dropdown pulls creates a little space after the <h4 class="optionName back">. I believe this is to do with placing two different types of option values in line with each other.
