How to stop subcategories appearing in navigation?

At the moment when I click on a category which has subcategories, the subcategories are displayed underneath the main category in the navigation.

Is it possible to stop this, so the navigation always remains the same?

Admin>Configuration>Product Listing>Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating, set to 0 (off).

I think that's the one you're looking for.

I believe without seeing a link to the page in question this is the view of the breadcrumb navigation throughout the site.

If you wish not to display:

Find:

Add this to the declaration
