blank screen

I am trying to install zen cart and when I get to the part where I connect to the database the installation process starts but then the screen goes blank. It does seem that the database was populated but I can not go any further!

Usually this means one or more of your files didn't upload or were corrupted in the process. What FTP client are you using? Does your host use CPanel?

I used filezilla to upload. The cpanel is Plesk.

The reason I asked about CPanel is that by uploading the Zencart zip file to your server and extracting the contents there using whatever file manager Plesk offers pretty much eliminates the missing/corrupted file problems you get sometimes by unzipping on your local machine and uploading file by file. Much faster, too.
