I am an affiliate - how do I use my affiliate button in place of add-to-cart?

say i have html code and i would like to use that for one of my products. the code has a buy button on it and it takes the user to a new website. how can i get this to happen and remove the add to cart button. i tryed doing changing the product type to a different one to remove the add to cart button but now when you click their buy button it just takes you to my shopping cart.. i dont know if its a script problem or what but im quite confused. is there a module or plugin that would allow me to add products like this easier?

Looks like you're trying to configure zencart to behave like a shopping portal (eg: kelkoo, DealTime). Or perhaps you have a bunch of affiliate relationships and you want these to appear as if they are shopping cart options???

Trying to re-configure zencart to behave this way will be very complicated and probably very costly.
