    Default Payment Method Problem Please HELP!

    I'm not real sure what the problem is or where to correct it.

    I figured I had everything correct then did a test purchase. On my test purchase, when I hit checkout, I see in red lettering the following under Payment Method:

    Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.
    Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

    Where do I go actually to fix this problem. I already have zones marked to none.

    All my products are in digital downloads. I already have a business account with paypal and everything is showing correct in the info that needs to be there. I only do the Paypal IPN - Website Payment Standard but notice that it is showing me a "processing" under order status. What does this mean?

    Please help...I'm so ready to go live and I'm about to pull my hair out. UGH.

    Your problem may be in your payment module settings. Check your payment option settings...

    Also, check your countries and zone settings.

    Sorry but your reply didn't help me out at all.

    THis is really frustrating as I have everything completed except this last thing.

    I'm not sure what you mean by check my countries and zones. I know where those are located but what about them. They are all there the way they are when I installed zen. I haven't changed anything with them.

    I'm really confused now. I've had zen before on another site and it worked, now I'm having a problem.

    Anyone else have any suggestions???????????

    That message appears when no payment modules can be found which apply to the order at hand.
    Possible causes:
    - All enabled payment modules have a Payment Zone set which doesn't match the zone of the customer's billing address
    - The order is free, but the Free Charge payment module is not enabled
    - No payment modules are enabled
    .

    I *think* you need to set up payment zones even though you're not actually shipping anything.

    Go to Admin - Locations/Taxes - Zone Definitions. If you really don't care where the person is who pays you, click the "insert" button to create a zone -- call it "Everywhere" or whatever you want. and click "insert" again. Then highlight the Everywhere zone and click "details." It will show no countries, so click "insert" again and it defaults to all countries and all zones. That is just what you want, so click "insert" again.

    Now go to Admin - Modules - Payment and select whichever payment method you are using, then click "edit." When you click on "Payment Zone" the dropdown menu should include your "Everywhere" zone. Select that and click "update" and try your payment again.

    This assumes you will accept payments from anywhere in the world. If not, call the module something else (maybe Salesarea instead of Everywhere) and you'll need to either add the countries/states one at a time, or add them all and then delete them one at a time. It's tedious, but once you have it set up, you can use that zone over and over.

    No, that's not correct. If you select "--none--", then you don't need a zone.
    And, unless you have a specific reason for creating and using certain zones, there is no need to select a zone restriction inside any payment or shipping module. They are *optional*, and best left set at --none-- unless you know why you're changing them.
