Changing the time out amount

Hello I would like to change the amount of time it takes for the account to time out. One of my customers is complaining that it keeps timing out on her. Is there a way to do this?

1. 3600 is default, which is 1 hour

That's only for admin sessions. This thread deals with customer sessions. The thread doesn't seem to have a solution (yet) on how to increase customer sessions, but it suggests that they last 2 hours.

Thanks so much for your help guys. Now I have another question. I am going to offer a free mega kit with a $20 purchase, now I know I can set the mega kit as a product for $20 and have them add that plus $20 in other items to their cart and then create a coupon for $20 but is there an easier way?
