Payment Methods - what should I use and why?

Are you happy with it? Any problems?

Does your method require SSL?

At this point, I don't know which direction to go. I installed the GC mod but am hearing that it doesn't work without SSL.

As a customer,I'm a lot more comfortable ordering from websites which have a proper credit card merchant account. It makes the seller seem more serious and responsible to me. If you also want to offer PayPal and Google Checkout, that's OK.

I think you need an SSL certificate regardless of the payment options you offer, to secure the transmission of my personal info I entered when I created my account.

Very nice looking site, BTW. I especially like the sidebox header graphics.

Agree with stevesh re merchant account
Really nice site as he says, shame takes long
time to load..
i.e. reduce image sizes of your products.
Some are 222571 bytes in size...3500
would be better.
Suggest you checkout Image Handler2 mod.
