Default Authorize AIM - AVS Check "B" Declined BUT...

    Hi Team,

I have an intermittent problem and looking for help...
    zen-cart - 1.3.7 - went live Oct 2007. To great success...
using Authorize AIM module... goDaddy is host...
    Highly customize site.

Transactions are being processed - they show up as an Order...
and emails are sent (to customer and owner)
BUT the transaction is declined with AVS Error "B" -
Address Info is not provided for AVS Check...
(I realize I can turn this check off - need to determine if this
is a bug, or potential fraud (all customers ended up paying over paypal)

The Customer/Bill address is missing in the transaction record..
on Authorize.net... Though the PhoneNum, Email, and Customer ID show up...

The Payment Method shows as "Gift Certificate/Coupon" even though none was given.

Orders are from everywhere - so no specific state/country issue...

I have spent time looking through the code (learning php and such along the way) - I have yet to turn on the Authorize Debug mode - as this is a live site and if this is a timing issue, I want to ask before I introduce delays into the processing. I realize the log should tell me whether the customer billing info is being sent, or not returned...

Another one happened this morning - hence this message for help...
We have only had 10 of these errors occurring, but it is a hassle...and not
    easy to determine..

The error part is that the Transaction was Declined - AND still Posted in zen-cart. So it is not all on the Authorize side - since a declined transaction continued to be cleared through the shopping cart...

    Any suggestions?... Thanks
    KevinW

    Continue...

The Billing and Shipping address show up in the zen-cart transaction, so it is in the record.

There is limited AVS support in the authorize.net modules.

You might try the updated AIM module which gets around apostrophe problems, some duplication problems, and more. The update compatible with v1.3.7 can be found here:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...023#post441023
The one in v1.3.8 has even more improvements, as well as Authorize.net eCheck support.

I just checked the improvements in 1.3.8 again...
You and the team did a great job... I will seriously consider upgrading after I try your authorize.net recommendation for 1.3.7
    Thanks...

    Hi Team,

I installed the 1.3.7 update for authorize.net and it is working fine... I thought it would solve this problem, but got a bad transaction today... We did get through 20 transactions without this error, but alas, it still occurs...

It shows up AVS Declined Code "B" - But the transaction is still in zen-cart.
There were 2 transactions declined - only one transaction in zen-cart.

It shows up at Gift/Certificate - in the transaction, without any authorize charge.

Missing Customer Info in the Authorize.net transaction log (in authorize.net)

I also notice that the Customer Billing information in authorize.net only has: Phone number, Email, and Customer ID. Even though the Shipping info has the complete address, as does the customer info in zen-cart.

did notice that one zip code (Customer, Shipping, Ship To) - Ship To has a space in the zip code. And the city name has an "a" with umlauts (though not called umlauts in Swedish)

Suggestions? don't want to rebuild the whole site to test the 1.3.8 version. This is the only issue we have now - realizing that some of the nice new features in 1.3.8 would be nice (tracking coupons, and reporting) -

    Thanks
    KevinW
