Using Zen as a product database?

Hi all,
I have a client who wants to set up a shopping basket to allow customers top browse the prodcuts with a view to doing on line sales (MAYBE) into the future.
Is it possible with Zen to set up the database without using the shopping cart functionality or is there a better way of doing this?

You can put Zen Cart into "showcase" mode, but I can't find the setting in the admin at the moment. That should do what your client requires.

Edit: Found it! admin->configuration->my store->store status
0= Normal Store
1= Showcase no prices
2= Showcase with prices

The setting is below the middle of the list.
