looking for simple layout for 3 products on main page

My cart is essentially very simple. 3 products total, 2 of which are digital downloads. 1 to be shipped. There will never be expansion on this. Will I have to change the template altogether to just have 3 products show up on the main page, have the user select one, and THEN proceed to login?

I guess what I am asking is, I'd like to have a simple list (but NOT a NEW PRODUCTS dialog for month of XXXX) on the main page that after clicking with THEN prompt the user to login/enter info.

Any help is appreciated

Try admin > config > layout settings > and
Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Main Page - Opens with Category

Set both to true "1"

Place your 3 products in one category

If that does not get it it will be file edit time
