SSL - Items not adding to shopping cart

When you select a product and click "Add to Cart" it goes to the shopping cart, but says the cart is empty.

It only does this when I have a .htaccess file making the pages https://

When i deleted the .htaccess file it works fine.

Can anyone help?

Why are you trying to run the cart under https:// ??

Yes Kobra is right, You do not need to run your entire cart under SSL.

Just make the change in your config.php file in the include folder and Zencart will use SSL when it needs it. Why do something complicated when it can be easy ?

If you want SSL on admin, change the config file in admin too. in admin/include.
