Default Any Ideas on This Challenge?

I use all shipping methods for shipping cabinet doors. Each door may weigh about 12 lbs. We need to figure that we need a new box for each 3 doors, so as to keep the weight managable at about 40lbs per box.

My shipping modules all just take the total weight and figure 1 pkg. When this is done, the shipping is way off. I don't want to have it calculate each piece as a seperate package or the shipping would be prohibitive.

Any ideas? Anyone else dealing with this?

    thx

You could probably set this in:-

    ADMIN...CONFIGURATION...SHIPPING/PACKAGING

"Enter the Maximum Package weight you will ship."

If you set this to 40 (lb) then it will automatically add another "box" when the weight exceeds 40lb.

You may need to play around with tare settings as well.
