    Default GV - How do customers redeem instore?

    Hi,

    I havent launched my store just yet and I think I understand how GV work as I have tested a few. But I would like to know how to redeem voucher instore if a customer arrives to the store and has already added the voucher to their online account.?

    I can see from Admin>Customers that the customer has a a GV in their account but cant figure out how to cancel/redeem it if I apply the voucher to a sale made instore?

    Once the Gift Certificate is redeemed, via email or during checkout, there will be a box to enter how much of the balance to Apply to the balance on the checkout_payment page right near the Redemption code box ...

    If there are no GVs that box vanishes ...

    Hmmm... I am not sure if that's exactly what I am looking for. I am trying to anticipate a situation where a customer has been emailed a GV code and redeems it. They then decided to visit the shop instead of placing the order online as alot of the customers will be local. If they choose to make a cash purchase in the shop AND use they want to use the virtual GV, I just want to know how to cancel the GV in zencart so that the customer cant use it or pass it on.??

    GVs are claimed by first to redeem wins ...

    If the customer comes in the store, just go into your instoregvs@your_domain.com account, that you of course plan to set up for this, and claim the GV ... now it is dead ...

    Now, here's the situation where I am at. originally we were going to keep the e-store and brick n mortar separate....... now my boss has decided to let customers use GV's in the physical store.
    The problem now is the customer used his credit at the BNM and the cart still has $100 available to him. I need to delete this some how.
    Would there be a module available to make the GV an Admin Editable Field?

    Get the Master Password program ...

    Create an email account for: InStoreGV@your_domain_name.com

    Login to the customer's account with their email and your Master Password and send the amount of GV used in the store to the: InStoreGV@your_domain_name.com

    Now the amount is removed from the customer's GV Balance ...
